Diplomat Club Golf Autumn Series

  1. General

    1.1. «DIPLOMAT CLUB» Tournaments are conducted according to a calendar plan of Kiev Golf Club for 2009, every Thursday.

    1.2. «Diplomat Club Golf Autumn Series» tournament runs 6 consecutive Thursdays from September 3rd till October 8th.

    1.3. Organizing Committee of Kiev Golf Club is in charge of organization and holding of «DIPLOMAT CLUB» Tournament.

    1.4. Neither the Club nor Organizing Committee are responsible for any possible damage to health or personal belongings of participants, their guests, press representatives, officials and organizations during the Tournament.

  2. Tournament description

    2.1. It is an individual contest.

    2.2. Tournament format: Stableford.

    2.3. 18 holes.

    2.4. Tournament series consists of five Stages and the Final Stage. Scores from the two best of five Stages and the Final score count to define winners in Stableford Netto Points.

  3. Tournament objectives and tasks

    3.1. The Tournament is aimed to bring Golf closer to Ukrainian diplomatic and business elite.

  4. Date and location of the competition

    4.1. «DIPLOMAT CLUB» Tournaments take place every Thursday on Park Course of Kiev Golf Club (address: Grinyovskoye Chaussée 1, Village Gavronschina, Makarivskiy district, Kyiv region, Ukraine).

  5. Procedure of application, registration and entry permission for participants

    5.1. Only those participants are allowed to «DIPLOMAT CLUB» Tournament who:

    • have Amateur Status according to Golf Rules issued by R&A
    • have a Green Card or Club’s Head PRO permission to play
    • are non-citizens of Ukraine

    5.2. Official language of «DIPLOMAT CLUB» Tournament is English.

    5.3. You can register at the web site of Kiev Golf Club www.kievgolfclub.com or by email diplomat@kievgolfclub.com. You can also call Golf Reception +38 044 585 12 00, +38 067 403 66 41 or Diplomat Club representative +38 067 470 1616. Application forms are accepted until 24 hours before the start of the Tournament.

    5.4. On the day of the contest, players should register at the Golf Reception from 13:00 till 14:30.

    5.5. In case a player can't take part in the tournament because of unforeseen circumstances, he/she shall inform the Organizing Committee not later than 24:00 on the evening before the Tournament day.

    5.6. Tournament Organizing Committee will consider only filled application forms. Organizing Committee holds a right to decide against any application without further explanation of its decision.

    5.7. Organizing Committee of «DIPLOMAT CLUB» Tournament holds a right to disqualify any participant who gives false information in the application form.

    5.8. Violation of registration rules can lead to disqualification of a participant.

  6. Payment for the participation in the Tournament:
    • Members of Diplomat Club and Qualified Kiev Golf Club members can participate in the Tournament free of charge.
    • Guests who qualify for Diplomat Club Membership should pay a green fee of 800 UAH.
    • Guests of Diplomat Club members who do not qualify for Diplomat Club membership should pay a green fee of 1600 UAH.
  7. Training

    7.1. Players can practice and get advices from the Club’s PRO on the day of a contest from 13:00 till 14:30.

  8. Start

    8.1. Participants begin to play according to a start protocol.

    8.2. A player shall be present at a tee of a starting hole not later than 10 min before appointed start time. If late, players are disqualified.

    8.3. Organizing Committee holds a right to determine or change terms of the Tournament, number of players, staffing and time of start under unforeseen circumstances and according to the Tournament procedures.

  9. Chief Referee and appeals submission

    9.1. Tournament Organizing Committee approves Chief Referee.

    9.2. Chief Referee holds a right to take final decisions on sport related issues during a game.

    9.3. Chief Referee accepts appeals from the Tournament participants during 30 min after a round is over and in writing. Appeals are not accepted after 30 min.

  10. Participants behaviour rules during a competition

    10.1. Organizing Committee determines limitations of dress code of players. T-shirts and jeans are prohibited during a game on training and playing courses.

    10.2. Players shall treat the Club's property with care and shall respect «The Club Etiquette and Local Rules of Behaviour at Kiev Golf Club».

    10.3. Players are obliged to:

    • know this Provision and strictly follow it;
    • comply with golf Rules, Local Rules, etiquette requirements and sport behaviour on a course;
    • strictly abide decisions of Organizing Committee, Chief Referee and Marshal on a course.

    10.4. Spectators and fans are not allowed to a course.

  11. Competitions

    11.1. The Tournament is held on 18 holes in Stableford format with handicap considering, according to Golf Rules approved by R&A and Local Rules approved by Chief Referee of the Tournament.

    11.2. During the whole Tournament, men play from yellow tees, women and juniors play from red tees.

    11.3. If two or more golfers show the same best result in the Tournament, a winner is decided by the best result golfer demonstrated on the last 9 holes. If even in that case results will be even, then results on the 6th, 3rd, 1st holes are considered (up to the moment when an advantage of one competing player is obvious).

    11.4. Players shall not use a golf-car for playing at a tournament. Players shall move on a course on their own.

    11.5. Players shall keep high tempo and execute orders of Marshal and Chief Referee. If a game is paused or stopped because of weather conditions, players shall act according to the Rule 6-8 approved by R&A.

    11.6. Contest starts at 15:00, Shotgun.

    11.7. A sound of klaxon is a signal to stop or continue a game due to bad weather (lightning). On hearing such a signal, a player must leave a course immediately.

  12. Awarding of players

    12.1. Tournament sponsors grant awards to winners according to the Rule 3-2 approved by R&A.

    12.2. Awards ceremony takes place at the Summer Club. Presence of winners and prize takers at Awards Ceremony of the Tournament, including a picture taking, is compulsory.
