Golf Format: Beat the PRO

General concern issues
1.1. Tournaments of «Golf format» are conducted according to a calendar plan of Kiev Golf Club for 2009, from July 18, 2009 to September 26, 2009, three last Saturdays of each month.
1.2. Organizing Committee of Kiev Golf Club is in charge of organization and holding of «Golf format» Tournaments.
1.3. Neither the Club nor Organizing Committee are responsible for any possible damage to health or personal belongings of participants, their guests, press representatives, officials and organizations during the Tournaments.
Tournaments description
2.1. On August 15, 2009, tournament format is Beat the PRO, 18 holes.
Tournaments objectives and tasks
3.1. The Tournaments are aimed at golf popularization and development in Ukraine.
Date and location of the competition
4.1. «Golf format» Tournaments take place on July-September three last Saturdays of each month, on Park Course of Kiev Golf Club (address: Grinyovskoye Chaussée 1, Village Gavronschina, Makarivskiy district, Kyiv region, Ukraine).
Procedure of application, registration and entry permission for participants
5.1. Only those participants are allowed to «Golf format» Tournaments who:
have Amateur Status according to R&A Golf Rules;
have a Green Card and HCP 54 or higher.
5.2. Application forms are accepted until 24 hours before a tournament starts on the web site of Kiev Golf Club www.kievgolfclub.com or by the phones of Golf Reception: +38 044 585 12 00, +38 067 403 66 41.
5.3. In case a player can't take part in a tournament because of unforeseen circumstances, he/she shall inform the Organizing Committee not later than 24:00 the day before the tournament starts.
Payment for the participation in the Tournaments:
Members of GolfStream International Club, Diplomat Club and Kiev Golf Club can participate in the Tournaments free of charge.
Guests of the Club pay a green fee of 1600 UAH.
Training
7.1. Players are allowed to warm up and consult coaches and PRO on the day of a contest, at 14:00-15:30.
Start
8.1. Participants begin to play according to a start protocol.
8.2. Participants should be present at tees of their starting holes not later than 10 min in advance. If a participant is late, he/she becomes a subject of penalties.
8.3. Organizing Committee holds a right to determine or change terms of the Tournaments, number of participants, staffing and time of start under unforeseen circumstances and according to Tournaments procedures.
Chief Referee and appeals submission
9.1. Tournament Organizing Committee approves Chief Referee.
9.2. Chief Referee holds a right to take final decisions on sport related issues during a game.
9.3. Chief Referee accepts appeals from the Tournament participants during 30 min after a round is over and in writ. Appeals are not accepted after 30 min.
Participants behaviour rules during a competition
10.1. Organizing Committee determines limitations of dress code of players. T-shirts and jeans are prohibited during a game on training and playing courses.
10.2. Players shall treat the Club's property with care and shall respect Local Rules.
10.3. Players are obliged to:
know this Provision and strictly follow it; comply with golf Rules, Local Rules, etiquette requirements and sport behaviour on a course;
strictly abide decisions of Organizing Committee, Chief Referee and Marshal on a course.
10.4. Spectators and fans are not allowed to a course.
Competitions
11.1. The Tournament will be held on 18 holes of Park Course according to Local Rules approved by Chief Referee of the Tournament.
11.2. Rules of the Game:
- flights consist of 3 or 4 players
- individual contest
- Stableford
- Head PRO Danny Balvert decides on par for every hole
- Head PRO tells you about the par of a current hole only at the next tee
- regular rules of game
11.3. Throughout the Tournaments, men play from yellow tees, women play from red tees.
11.4. If two or more players show the same best result in the Tournament, a winner is decided by the best result demonstrated on the last 9 holes. If even in that case results will be even, then results on the last 6, 3, 1 holes are considered (up to the moment when an advantage of one competing players is obvious).
11.5. Players shall not use golf cars during a play at the Tournaments. Players shall move on a course on their own.
11.6. Players shall keep high tempo and execute orders of Marshal and Chief Referee. If a game is paused or stopped because of weather conditions, players shall act according to the Rule 6-8 approved by R&A.
11.7. Contest starts at 4.00 p.m., individual start from the 1st tee.
11.8. Launch of 5 flares is a signal to stop or continue a game due to bad weather (lightning). On hearing such a signal, a player must leave a course immediately.
Awarding of players
12.1. Tournaments sponsors grant awards to winners according to the Rule 3-2 approved by R&A.
12.2. Awards ceremony takes place at the Summer Club. Presence of winners and prize takers at Awards Ceremony of the Tournament is compulsory.
