RULES OF CONDUCT ON PLAYING COURSES AND TRAINING FACILITIES


DEFINING BOUNDS AND MARGINS

  • course boundaries and OUT OF BOUNDS areas are marked with white stakes
  • WATER HAZARD boundaries are marked with yellow stakes
  • LATERAL WATER HAZARD boundaries are marked with red stakes
  • GROUND UNDER REPAIR is marked with blue stakes
  • DROPPING ZONES are marked with a white line and letters «DZ»


DROPPING ZONES
If it is unreasonable or inappropriate to act according to «The R&A» Rules №№  24-2b, 24-3 («Immovable Obstruction»), 25-1b, 25-1с («Abnormal Ground Condition»), 25-3 («Wrong Putting Green»), 26-1 («Water Hazards»), 28 («Ball Unplayable), a player must/should use and additional opportunity and drop the ball in Dropping Zone, without penalty but not closer to a hole.


A PROTECTION OF YOUNG TREES
If there is a threat to damage a young plant with a club during a shot, a ball must be taken out and dropped without penalty but not closer to a hole.


STONES IN BUNKERS
Stones in bunkers are movable obstructions and can be removed without penalty.


IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS
Tops of sprinklers, bridges, benches, paths and tracks are immovable obstructions.
A ball can be dropped without penalty within a club-length from the nearest point of relief but not closer to a hole.


PACE OF PLAY
Players must keep up high pace of play and comply with orders of Marshal.
Recommended pace of play is given in a scorecard.


CONDUCT OF PLAYERS IN A DANGEROUS SITUATION
A game may be stopped or suspended due to bad weather conditions or other dangerous situations.
There are following types of signals for suspending a play:
- Stop your game immediately: one long toot
- Stop your game: three repeated toots
- Resume your game: two repeated short toots
When hearing a signal to stop/suspend a game, players must stop immediately and do everything possible to get into a shelter. When moving, players are recommended to act according to such an Evacuation Plan:

  • Park Course (holes S1-S9) – Players move to Summer Clubhouse
  • Club Course (holes B1-B9) – Players move to Summer Clubhouse
  • Chamberlain Course (holes A1-A18) – Players move to Club House
  • Driving Range, Putting&Chipping Greens – Players move to the shelter on Driving Range

It is allowed to continue a round only if there is such an instruction of Marshal and only after a permission signal.


BALLS AND CLUBS
Training balls on Driving Range and Putting & Chipping Greens are property of the Club and provided solely for training. Players are not allowed to keep them for future use. Training balls are not allowed on golf courses and an abuse of this requirement is equal to theft.
Every player must use his/her own set of clubs. Such set includes at least one bag and a set of golf clubs (up to 14).
Two or more players must not play with the same set of clubs.


REGISTRATION OF PLAYERS
It is required to make a reservation of tee time.
Administration reserves the right of putting together start groups and bringing single players in if it is necessary.
Initial identification of players is based on the following documents:
- ID
- Document that certifies the status of a player and his/her ExHcp
- Application Form


DRESS-CODE FOR PLAYERS
KGC sets limits on clothing of players and caddies.

  • Men are strictly prohibited to be on KGC training grounds and golf courses in T-shirts, collarless shirts, shorts, jeans, swimming suits, tennis clothing and without special golf footwear.
  • Women are strictly prohibited to be on KGC training grounds and golf courses women in T-shirts, blouses on straps, net T-shirts, shorts, jeans, swimming suits, tennis clothing / dresses and without special golf footwear.
  • Player’s personal caddy must wear yellow vests be on KGC training grounds and golf courses.


ETIQUETTE OF PLAY
Players and caddies are obliged to adhere to norms and rules of game etiquette. They must:

  • look after a course during a game: do not leave behind indentations, smooth them, as well as fix any damage caused to putting greens due to a strike
  • minimize damage to the surface of a course during a game
  • avoid tearing out turf when making a swing
  • keep trolleys and bags away from tees and greens
  • placing a bag or a flagpole, make sure it does not cause any damage to a green
  • do not stand on another player’s line of putt when he/she is making a stroke and do not cast a shadow over his/her line of putt
  • always show consideration for other players on the course and do not disturb their play by moving, talking or making any unnecessary noise
  • before leaving a bunker, carefully fill in and level all pits and footprints
  • strictly follow all instructions on movement of golf cars. it is allowed to drive only on roughs, special tracks or along fairways.

 

Players and caddies are forbidden to:

  • drive golf car on tee, greens and fairways
  • lean on a club when he/she is on a putting green
  • use a head of a club to get a ball out of a hole
  • stand too close to a hole. One must be attentive putting a flagpole and taking a ball from a hole.

 

SAFETY RULES
Compliance with Safety Rules is responsibility of players and caddies.


MOBILE PHONE USE
It is forbidden to use mobile phones on training facilities and golf courses of KGC.


SMOKING
Smoking is allowed only in designated areas.
Smoking is strictly prohibited on golf courses and training facilities.

 

RULES OF CLUB ETIQUETTE


DRESS CODE
Club style is preferable within territory of the Club.
It is prohibited to wear jeans and tennis clothes, shorts, net and collarless T-shirts, shirts on straps.


MEMBERS’ AND GUESTS’ SERVICE STAFF REGULATIONS
Members’ and guests’ service staff is not allowed to Club Public Area and Club Members Area.
Drivers should be in cars or at the special recreation place in the parking zone.
Personal guards of Members are inadmissible to Club’s premises.
The following general rules are to be complied by Member’s and guests’ personal service staff: do not smoke; do not speak too loud; do not gesticulate too excess; do not disturb visitors.
Visitors should insure the presence of their service staff is minimally noticed by Members and guests of the Club.


FOOD AND DRINKS
Neither food nor beverages shall be brought to premises of the Club without agreement of the Administration.


MOBILE PHONE USE
Mobile devices must be turned to vibration mode in Club Public Area and Club Members Area.
If you have to answer a call, you must make sure not to disturb or distract others.


SMOKING
Smoking is allowed only in designated areas.


PHOTO & VIDEO
All photos and videos produced on the territory of KGC are sole property of the Club only. Administration reserves the right to use these materials to its discretion based on ethic rules of KGC.


PETS
Pets are not permitted to the territory of the Club under any pretext.


TRAFFIC AND PARKING
All visitors who drive must adhere to the signs posted in the Club.
25 km / hour is the highest allowed driving speed within the Club.


VIOLATIONS
Administration reserves the right to terminate services provided to Club Members or guests with no consequence for the Club if they violate KGC Rules, damage property or reputation of the Club.
By their presence in Club Public Area, on training facilities and golf courses of KGC, guests and players recognize Procedural Requirements of Kiev Golf Club and consent to strictly comply with them.
