GREEN CARD EXAM AND CERTIFICATION

This service allows both a beginner and a trained player to get «a green light» access to the best golf courses of the world. Green Card confirms not only the level of skills and mastery of players but also a deep understanding of golf etiquette and rules. Kiev Golf Club’ test is official and Green Card is issued based on its results. It is your best recommendation in the world of golf. 

TERMS FOR OBTAINING A GREEN CARD WITH AN OFFICIAL HANDICAP
ACCORDING TO EGA RULES IN KIEV GOLF CLUB

In order to obtain a Green Card with an official handicap a Player must pass an exam and participate in one of the Club's tournaments.

The exam consists of 3 parts:
1) Theory – Golf etiquette and rules of golf
2) Practical – Technical proficiency in hitting, chipping, bunker and putting
3) Game – Demonstration of the ability to play at the required level and according to the rules


1) Theory:

15 questions on rules of golf should be answered by a Player. A Player gets 1 hour to answer the questions. It is allowed to use R&A’s «Rules of Golf». 

To pass, a Player must have at least 8 answers correct.


2) Practical:

• Driving Range: Hit 3 straight and far shots with iron – 4 must be. (100 m for men, 75 m for women) (10 attempts).
• Chipping: Hit 3 shots from 15 meters on the green close to hole (max. 5 m) (10 attempts).
• Putting: Hit with 3 shots from 9 meters in hole (10 attempts).
• Bunker: Hit with 3 shots on the green. The green size cannot be larger then 25 m² (10 attempts).

To pass, a Player must demonstrate these abilities during an exam.
It is allowed to go to Part 3, after Part 1 and Part 2 are successfully passed.


3) Course:
A Player plays holes 2, 3, 4 of Park Course. The format is Stroke Play. Maximum time of play is 60 min.

To pass, a Player should follow the rules and etiquette at all times.
To pass, a Player should play according to the rules and etiquette of golf.
To pass, a Player must play within the time limit. 

CONCLUSION:
If a Player passes all these three parts of the exam and participated in one of the Club's tournaments, he/she receives a Green Card with official handicap 36 or a Card with Club handicap 54.

• For KGC Guests – 200 euro
• For KGC Members – free of charge
