Golf Academy of Kiev Golf Club extends its technical park and repertoire of trainings. Since October 2009, participants of individual trainings and Green Team members test a new golf simulator for swing improvement «Par On Doctor (POD) – 4000».

This is a new swing analyzer, which is unique by technical features and functionality, quick and easy to use. It allows:

• to have a continuous display and video recording during a training with the help of two cameras, which show front and side view of a golfer;
• to instantly watch the recording, adjust speed of video demonstration or use a storyboard mode (panorama);
• to compare one’s swing with a swing of a golf-PRO, displayed on multi-screen (view of a golfer is on the left side of the screen and view of a golf-PRO is on the right side) in record and display modes.

There are four large buttons to enter commands, which are convenient to push on even with a club. In addition, the analyzer comes with an interactive Touch Screen function. This both facilitates device control and provides a user with additional opportunities to work with video. You can make graphic notes right on the screen, indicating position of a club or any part of your body at a certain point of a swing in order to personally monitor displacements. For example, your PRO requests to hold your head in one position before and after a swing. It will be much easier to comply with his recommendations if you draw a fixed reference point on top of «live» images in the area where a head should be during a shot. The same principle can be applied to visualization of other tasks related to setting movements like knee rotation, arm bending, club’s slope angle, etc.

Golf PRO of Kiev Golf Club Danny Balvert (PGA Holland) says about the new training facility:

«Basically it looks as if you start and see your swing in a mirror. But a mirror only reflects and does not repeat! POD-4000 gives such an opportunity. The other thing about it is that there are many swing analyses but most of them are very complicated. This one, on the contrary, is quick and easy to use. It surely will help players to improve their game because if they have questions they can get answers from the device instead of falling into panic.
Beginners can use it as well with assessment of a golf-PRO, who explains where to look at. He will show some concrete things, not everything, so that players could improve bit by bit. Often people want to know the whole lot about their swing but it usually does not work that way. It overloads their attention and only prevents from focusing on specific things. Our simulator, otherwise, helps to improve gradually».

POD-4000 Swing Analyzer provides an opportunity to return to analysis of a game after the end of training. Simply take to classes a disk drive (4 GB should be enough for even the most diligent students) and before a training insert it into USB-port of the simulator. While memory of the simulator keeps only your last swing (so you can immediately watch it), it can save video recording of your all swings on an external drive.

At Golf Reception, you can copy simulator’s software, which enables to watch the video recording on a personal computer at any speed, play with storyboard, with a parallel display of PRO movements and to use Touch Screen function.

Note that the swing analyzer separates from the stream of displayed video and «remembers» only a shot, without intermediate pauses. To do this, your assistant will configure the device before the first training in such a way that it recognizes sound of a striking club against a ball. Four modes are available for four types of clubs (Iron, Wood, Approach or Driver). Later, POD-4000 uses that sound to separate video recordings and synchronize them with swings of a golf-PRO.

Trainings become more effective. It makes communication with a coach clearer and it is much easier now to see progress. We remind you that POD-4000 is provided for the use of our Club Members during individual trainings. Good luck!
