On the eve of the first tournament of Kiev Golf Club "Park Course Opening" – which takes place on July 12, 2008, our colleagues prepared their representatives for the competition. For instance, Odessa City Golf Club (www.golf.od.ua) and Odessa Golf Federation (www.odessagolf.com.ua) became hosts of a selection round. As a result of that, they formed a close “advance” team of future participants of the announced Kiev competition.

Such attention to July contest, which will mark a beginning of sport life in Kiev Golf Club, is a big honour and joy for us. Odessa City Golf Club, uniting its efforts with Odessa Golf Federation, is an open and democratic civil organization, thanks to which golf becomes more popular among Ukrainians and belongs to sports that develop intensively in our country. We have to mention a recent triumph of Odessa team during the firsts phase of Ukrainian Golf Cup, which was held in Turkey in the end of April 2008. At that time, due to a series of spring tournaments, conducted by Odessa City Golf Club together with Odessa Golf Federation, their team acquired a good shape and performed perfectly well. Gennadiy Lotysh became the winner of the games and Vladimir Bely, who chairs Odessa City Golf Club, came the third. He achieved the best results in the second phase of the Cup, which was hosted by Poland in the beginning of June 2008.

It is a pleasure that these names are mentioned also as winners of Odessa selection round. In general, four men, great players will come to Kiev for the "Park Course Opening" on July 12, 2008, namely: V. Bely (result in the selection round – 38 hits), A. Budyanu (43 hits), G. Lotysh and S. Karamazin (44 hits each). We are looking forward to receive Odessa guests at our first tournament.
